NEW Hosted Destinations Announced
At World Fly, we continue to add destinations that excite us, and the we know well. As we said early on, we have no plans to be a big agency and offer every fishing lodge around the world. The idea is to professionally host trips that we feel are excellent in all ways, and that we have experience with. This means for our clients, that they will get knowledge about these trips based on first-hand experience, and have a host during the trip who is attentive to your needs, comfort, and happiness.
With that said, we would like to announce the following two new destinations!:
PIRA & SUINDA LODGE COMBO TRIP - ARGENTINA
Pira Lodge has been famous now for a few decades, providing an amazing experience in search of Golden Dorado in the massive Iberian Swamp. Fishing here is done from flats skiff, with anglers presenting flies at likely ambush spots for the Dorado around the reeds and cut banks of the swamp. Fishing here can be fast and furious, with most fish caught being between 5 and 10 pounds. The lodge is extremely comfortable, and guests often spend time after fishing around the pool or cozied up next to the bat.
After three days of fishing at Pira, our group will transfer to Suinda lodge where our fishing experience will change greatly. Here, we will fish Pacu against the tree-lined banks, and Dorado around rocks and on sand bars of the might Parana River. Catch rates are lower here than they are at Pira, but the Dorado can reach massive proportions. The lodge sits near the banks of the river, and is rustic and comfortable.

SECURE LODGE - BOLIVIA
Bolivia has a reputation for amazing Golden Dorado fishing, surrounded by dense jungle in native habitat. That reputation is well-deserved, and this is one of the best trips I have ever been on in my many trips around the world. Secure Lodge is nested high in the banks of the Secure River, and built on a platform of native woods. Accommodations are in luxurious wall tents, complete with shower and bathroom. The dining and social area is nearby, and made from local timber.
There are a multitude of species here include Pacu and Yatorana, but it is the Dorado that people travel here to pursue. The river and its tributaries always has resident fish, but we planned our trip around the annual migration of baitfish which brings many more migratory Dorado to these beats. Golden Dorado are aggressive predators, and will attack these baitfish in groups, pushing the smaller fish onto the banks of the river, and causing a commotion which can be heard from a hundred yards away. There is really nothing like it out there in the world of fly fishing destinations.
