Medellin & Bahia Solano - Colombia

El Poblado section of Medellin

Most of you who know me understand that I am in love with Colombia, and in particular with the city of Medellin. Without having been there, just saying the name can be ominous to many. But Medellin has outgrown its history, and is now one of the most dynamic cities in South America. En route to Bahia Solano, guests can spend as much time as they want here, and we will help in any way they need in showing them the sights.

Once done with Medellin, we fly 30 minutes to remote Bahia Solano. Not yet discovered by the rest of the hordes who fish Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama, this secluded section of the Pacific Coast has myriad species of fish. We will pursue them by whatever means necessary……casting topwater plugs, trolling, and casting flies.

Dining and social area at Black Sands

Black Sands Lodge is the most luxurious lodge, with the best food I have had anywhere in my travels. The rooms are brand new, extremely well appointed, and single occupancy to guests. The food is 5 star, concentrating heavily on fresh food from the Pacific Ocean.
